TIMESMALAYSIA, JAKARTA – Zozibini Tunzi, a South African model and beauty pageant title holder were officially crowned as Miss Universe 2019 on Monday (8/12/3019). The coronation night was held at Tyler Perry Studio, Atlanta, USA.
Hailing from South Africa, the 26-year-old pageant winner is the first black woman from her country to wear the Miss Universe crown. She was up against Miss Puerto Rico and Miss Mexico, who took home second and third place respectively.
Tunzi looked emotional as Catriona Gray - who previously served as Miss Philippines and Miss Universe 2018 - placed the crown upon her head.
The crown look so stunning and match her beautiful shiny blue and golden night gown. On the final round, she along with the other two contestants were given a time to give their final word of what is the most important thing they should be teaching to young girls today.
Three of them answered brilliantly. Sofia Aragan, Miss Mexico answered with a true value of beauty is not measured from a perfect life or beauty but it's more to her act and service to the world.
Meanwhile, miss Puerto Rico Madison Anderson would love to teach young girls to embrace themselves and love themself the way they are.
And what about Zozibini Tunzi? This girl which crowned as Miss Universe 2019 chooses leadership as her answer. "Leadership is something that has been lacking in young girls nowadays. Not that we don't want to, but because of the society has labeled women to be" she said on her final word.
